Mass murderers day...er...Memorial day, as we're all aware, is tomorrow. It's a disgrace of a holiday where we "honor" those who have murdered, raped, pillaged, nuked, and tortured for the state.
The state's (I refuse to call them "our") veterans deserve a lot of things--such as being spit on, or locked up for crimes against humanity--but respect is hardly one of them.
Some anarchists will tell you that the troops died for nothing. But that's not exactly true.
They died to butcher women and children. They died to make life miserable and unbearable for people all across the globe. They died to strengthen the police state. They died to take away our liberties. They died to enrich the military industrial complex. They died to make the world safe for US-style corporatist capitalism. They died to strengthen dictators and tyrants. They died to ensure US hegemony over the entire world, and to enslave the innocent. They died to destroy and steal from foreign countries. They died to worsen the economy and harm the poor. They died to end habeas corpus and protect torture.
In a nutshell: they died to make the world a far worse, far more despicable, and far more dangerous place. And they did so knowing exactly what they were doing.
Rather than show any respect for veterans, we should use this day to remember those who do deserve to be remembered: those who have been slaughtered by the troops, those whose lives have been permanently destroyed by the troops, those who refused to serve, those who deserted the troops in times of battle, and those who betrayed their own country in times of war.
Now that's a memorial day I could get behind.

You really hit this one on the head.
Thanks Andrew.
I'm hoping to start pitching my work to World Net Daily (yes, that's a joke ;)

Need hard liquor now.
Cui Bono? Only Israel benefits from these endless Middle East wars fought by American soldiers. As the U.S. commits war-crimes abroad, that same gov't commits treason at home by eliminating habeas corpus, using the judiciary to steal private lands, banning books like "America Deceived" from Amazon, Facebook and Wikipedia, conducting warrantless wiretaps and engaging in illegal wars on behalf of Israel. Soon, another false-flag operation will occur (sinking of an Aircraft Carrier by Mossad) and the US will invade Iran. Then we'll invade Pakistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, then ....
Final link (before Google Books bends to gov't demands and censors the title):

Hi, I'm german and unfamiliar with american history. When was the last time the US fought a just war? A war one could get behind, ie. a war defensive in nature. I would really like to know. All the US-wars I know of were not just afaik, except maybe WW2.
@Anonymous: 1812, maybe.
German Anon, the last time a just war was fought it was on US soil. The southern states, who legally and constitutionally seceded, were bullied and unlawfully attacked by the northern states under the direction of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln, who was acting on behalf of new england businesses who didn't want to pay tarriffs to the states that opted out of the union, waged a bloody genocide against the people of the south and claimed it was all in the name of preserving the union and abolishing slavery. Slavery had nothing to do with it. The abolition of slavery was Britans request in exchange for their help to fund the massacre.
The South's failed attempt at exercising their rights was the last just American war.
Great post, thank you.
The southern states, who legally and constitutionally seceded, were bullied and unlawfully attacked by the northern states under the direction of Abraham Lincoln.Interesting and outrageous. Maybe it was around that time when the fed government became "evil"? When seceding was punsished like that even back then, what would they do nowadays. Anyway, thanks for your response shane, I will do a little reading on that war.
I guess, to be fair, the Confederates were pretty brutal statists as well. But so was Saddam Hussein. That didn't justify the war crimes, the police state, the genocide of innocent Iraqis, or the subjugation of everyone the region to the control of the US empire.
Basically, Abraham Lincoln attempted the same thing as North Korea in the Korean war, only he succeeded.
That's a good post.
Nobody wants to hear it, but it's sure as hell the truth.

Re those in the military and veterans, it depends on personal intent. Most of them believed and still believe lies the government told them since they were babies, lies such as defending freedom and being a patriot.
I think very, very few except a few psychopaths joined the military to rape, murder, and pillage for themselves.
Was just thinking this morning that there must be a better use for people who are willing to put their lives on the line for something they believe in than sending them on killing errands for the bankers. Perhaps sending them on the errand of killing the real enemy?
I love your blog!!!! Soldier of truth, we are with you! keep up the good work and fcuk the rapist drones! - With love from Iran!
Your analysis is much too simplistic.
Let me point out that your sorry over liberal butt - That you enjoy the freedom to dishonor the dead in the military because of the military. Your sorry butt sits in safety because of men willing to do violence; or you would not enjoy the freedom you have to bash them except for them.
This just doesn't couldn't any more pathetic.
You enjoy this freedom -
Because of men who went to places they knew they may die; yet went anyway.
It is commonly called courage and I know your type; you often lack it.
To be blunt; this is a cold cruel world and if not for them; you would probably be speaking Chinese and they would not really approve of your liberal rants. They are famous for imprisoning political dissenters and even sell their organs. Yes - They really do.
NO - There have always been atrocities in war. That part I have zero tolerance for. Maybe it is quit a bit to expect people that are exposed to horrors most of us cannot imagine to keep a cool head. War brings out the best and worst in us. Mind blowing self sacrifice and courage and cruelty beyond our imagination.
Those men went for the most part for what they believed were noble aspirations. They were willing to die to protect the likes of you.
They really deserve much better.
Shame and you - all of you!
To veberflus...
You are anti-human, for the death humanity to make righteous the death of the soldiers. This is not our war according to the constitution laws.
This a war by our corrupted government to make profits, that you will never see. It is treason to use our own soldiers to fight a never ending war of destruction against other countries that never attack us, here. All the evidence is seen for these wars is nothing but lies and deceit, stealing land and resources which doesn't belong to us in the first place. So death to humanity is your call, so our soldiers that died can be celebrated. Shame on you.
Good post.
And let's not forget how Americans celebrate this 'day of remembrance' by consuming even more.
They will be driving around to bbq parties, picnics in the park and shopping sprees at the 'Memorial Day Blow-Out' sales. How is this supposed to be honoring the dead?
Freaking idiots.
Memorial Day should be a day of honor for those who fought and died for our freedom. But, when did any American soldier die for our freedom? My father was a veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Distinquished Flying Cross and though he never mentioned anything about his involvement in the war for him Memorial Day was a day to honor fallen shipmates.
I am certain that he always distinquished the differecnce between what they did and why they did it. In the aftermath of WWII my father always told me that the truth was the first casualty of war and that history never revealed truth.
Let us all honor those who have fallen in wars period. Those who were misled into believing their cause a noble one amd those victims of the noble warriors who slew them. Let us all use Memorial Day as a guide to measure ourselves as Americans and see if we can resist our leaders penchant for more wars.
Absolutely awesome. Veberflus-you don't HAVE any freedoms-just because you can watch the tube and type on the internet doesn't make you "free" nor does it make the soldiers any less mind-controlled, power hungry, and murderous.
You'll soon see that your "military" cannot protect you from anything at all.
The real enemies are those that after all of these years cannot find peaceful resolutions to problems without invoking racism, sexism, and most of all, greed.
I have a whole family that went to "serve out country" that were, and are, treated like crap by their superiors.
When "freedom lovers" go themselves to fight realizing their efforts have done NOTHING then they'll understand they endangered many people...for nothing.
Really how free are you today?
Think hard...
